A Letter from our Vice President of Membership, Gianna Columbia

Dear PNM,

Congratulations on making the decision to go through the recruitment process here at Clemson! Joining a sorority is one step closer to forming lasting friendships and to creating memories that you will hold close to you forever. I know from experience that taking the initiative to register for recruitment may feel intimidating, but having the courage to enter this process is something you should already be proud of, because DZ is already proud of you!

The recruitment process does not always look the same for everyone, so it is 100% okay to feel a little nervous, I know I was for sure. I was in your position once, and a piece of advice that I wish I could have told my younger PNM self is to always stay true to who you are. Although this can be an overused phrase, it really is true! By fully immersing your true self into the process, your recruitment journey will lead you to the group of girls that will make Clemson truly feel like home.

Like many girls in Panhellenic, I found my “home” in my sorority. Seeing the comforting and inviting faces of my fellow sisters as I pass them on my walk to class, in the dining hall, or when I'm 8 hours into studying for a hard exam at the library, is something that I would not trade for the world. And that is what defines my “home” at Clemson. I know that my sisters or my sorority family are always there to look out for me, as I would do the same for them. I found that in Delta Zeta, and now it is your turn to do the same!

I am so happy you chose sorority recruitment and I know that you will not regret it! Get ready for one of the craziest, yet most rewarding experiences ever. DZ is already SO excited to meet you!
